"SUPERHEROES"

 

 

Since I was a little girl I have been keen on comics, specially those whose main characters were men and women with superpowers : Superman, Catwoman, Spiderman, Thor, etc. , and mutants such as the Ninja Turtles who say that you are a failure as an artist if one of the turtles doesn´t take your name.

 

Since they are great fiction characters they are, sometimes, too surreal.

 

For example, Superman; he’s a very smart guy but none of those people who used to wonder if he was a bird or a plane realized that he was wearing his underwear over his leggings and not the other way around.

 

Of course, being in such a “super hurry” …

 

Sometimes I happen to start thinking about the conversations they may have:

 

Superman: You have such a sad life!! Your enemy is a clown!!!!!

 

Batman: Yeah right! Yours is a rock!

 

Something that doesn’t make any sense is their obsession with hiding their identity; well, not all of them, Ironman for instance is a multimillionaire, he has fans and he is famous.

 

But, to me, the best ones are the heroines such as Wonderwoman, the Invisible Woman because, much to my regret, they are based on my mother.

 

Me: Mom, give some money, please!!

 

And, suddenly, she disappears.

 

Me: Mom, there is something I cannot find.

 

My mother: I bet you I’ll find it!

 

And she does! She finds it! You need an x-rays vision to be able to find something amongst the mess my room is always in.

 

Another beloved character is Hulk, that green, beastly and very muscular creature .The poor thing must have such a terrible time with women!

 

Question: Why did Hulk’s girlfriend break up with him?

 

Answer: Because she wanted a more manly man.

 

Question: What is yellow and wrecks walls?

 

Answer: Hulk, of course.

 

Question: But he’s not yellow! He’s green!

 

Answer: Just let him get more mature.

 

I would really love to go to a costume party with those characters. It would be really interesting, just imagine…..

 

Me, Hulk, Supergirl, Spiderman, Soul Surfer and Aquaman want our picture taken but, suddenly, they hear someone weeping.

 

It’s Flash, sitting in a corner, weeping.

 

-What’s wrong Flash?

 

-I would love to be in that picture too.

 

-Why wouldn’t you?

 

-The photographer said : a photo without flash!!
